DRAWING INWARD & OUTWARD

Join Jennifer in witnessing our everyday and the passing of time by drawing inward and outward. Let her guide you through the streets, alleyways, and parks of Montreal, using creative exercises, and movement & mindful practices to TUNE IN to the present. Noticing our sense of sight and touch to SEE and FEEL each moment for what it is

This is an invitation to focus and enjoy the process of creative expression, rather than the perfection or expectation of an outcome.  We will take moments to sharpen our observational skills in seeing and feeling all the details, textures, lines, and contours that make up each of our unique inner and outer worlds. Learning ways to find beauty in the simple and ordinary, that become extraordinary, when you take the time to NOTICE. Using creative mindful practices as a healing source to cultivate a connection to ourselves, others, and our surroundings.

To inspire exploration of our day-to-day more consciously.  To have the courage to show up, and express our authentic visions despite all the vulnerability that can exist in a given moment. We will learn to surrender to the moment, being open to allowing whatever is at the time to be expressed, through the body and mind.

We will take to the streets, to stroll like a flaneur, through Montreal, wandering off the beaten path into nearby alleys and parks. Taking the time to observe, and tune into our direct experience. Using creative and mindful exercises, to look and see, listen to hear, and connect to feel. Having a conscious effort set to be mindful through our senses

TAKE NOTE OF THE MOMENTS

WHEN: MAY 5th 1:00-3:30pm

WHERE: URBAN meeting TBA

We will take to the streets, to stroll like a flaneur, through Montreal, wandering off the beaten path into nearby alleys and parks. Taking the time to observe, and tune into our direct experience. Using creative and mindful exercises, to look and see, listen to hear, and connect to feel. A conscious effort set to be mindful through our senses.

1 ) DRAWING INWARD: Choosing a nearby park to begin, we will pause to bring ourselves to the moment by checking in: Using our breath, and mindful meditation to slow down and observe our body and mind as it is.  We will then move to a brief movement practice meant to release stagnant energy, circulate the chi, to the body and mind, and calm the nervous system.  So we can prepare to flow and use our senses to observe our direct experience.

2 )  DRAWING OUTWARD: Throughout the stroll we will have moments to PAUSE and CREATE, using several different drawing exercises to LOOK, SEE, and FEEL what is truly there.
