The Modern Day Flaneur
The Modern-day flaneur is a multi-sensorial curation expressed through the offerings of books, YouTube channel, a podcast, immersive experiences, performances, and slow and mindful wanderings, created by Jennifer Cloutier.
It became a way to showcase her book MIRA CUBA the flaneur way to her viewers. Using spoken word, audio-visuals, soundscapes, and performance, to engage the senses, and immerse the audience into a wandering journey on the streets of Cuba and Montreal. It has since expanded.
The book MIRA CUBA The Flaneur Way reveals a collection of impressions and expressions, observed, documented, and expressed through the mediums of drawing, photography, and writing. It is a personal account of her visions and thoughts of every day from the simple and ordinary and all that lies in the space between. It also reveals a roadmap to her quest and inquiry to witness her creative process.
She invites you to stroll alongside her, as she guides you down a timeline from being a witness, to the reflections of her experiences on the road, to finding therapeutic creative ways to navigate through isolation in the pandemic.

Stroll alongside as she invites you to be a part of her journey as she travels to the past, present and all the states in between. Sharing her sensorial souvenirs, through poetic verses, creative and mindful storytelling, travel journals, and keepsakes collected both near and far.

The tour start in 2022 in Montreal where Jennifer presently resides and then travel onwards out west and to Ontario.

THE PROCESS PROJECT
CO-SIDING with this project is the return of her passion project, THE PROCESS. A project that began with a question on WHY CREATE. Choosing CUBA as her backdrop and inspiration for the story to unfold. It was here that she became curious to observe the process of others and the passion and determination it takes to live a creative life.
Since then she has made countless interviews with artists, in their studios, online, and in front of live audiences. She now brings this project on the road where it started, to reconnect again with her fellow artists both locally and abroad, to share the story of creative expression with the community once again.
